IKIUF Exco Ratification/Installation of Woman Leader
The ceremony of Ikono Ibom Unity Forum Exco Ratification/Installation of Woman Leader took place yesterday Monday, 8th March, 2021 at Udeme Plaza, Ikot Oku Ikono Junction, led by the President of IKIUF Mr. Ubong Udofia, and in the presence of the newly formed Exco of the Forum.
The event which was aimed at redefining the purpose of the Forum and positioning itself to take advantage of the new leadership for the tasks ahead had Mr. Udofia, the President, charging the people to stay focused, believe in themselves, embrace unity and promote love as those are the virtues that will help build a better Ikono Ibom. The president summarily charged the Exco members to bear fruits upwards and bear roots downwards for effective execution of their assignments.
He further tasked the Exco to see their different portfolios as fullscale departments which they must manage and produce results which will be collated and interpreted to convey the real essence of the Forum to our Clan.
High point of the ratification exercise was the formal affirmation of all the positions by the Exco members, followed by ceremonial rites of installation of the IKIUF Woman Leader, Lady Nsima Willie. The installation of the woman Leader significantly coincides with the International Women's Day Celebrations, which adds flavour, colour and credence to the exercise.

- Mr. Udeme Thomas - Organizing Secretary
- Lady Nsima Willie - Woman Leader
- Lady Esther Inwang, CLN - Publicity Secretary
- Mr. Enobong Ephraim - Assistant Publicity Secretary
- Barr. Uwem Noah - Legal Adviser
- Mr. Aniekan Mkpa - Provost
- Mr. EdiomoAbasi Ataudo - Welfare Director
- Mr. Abasiama Udoisong - Deputy Welfare Director
All Focal Persons from the 18 Villages of Ikono Ibom Clan are Ex-officios.
Their tenure which will run for the next four (4) years is expected to add value and would be laced with excellent service delivery in the discharge of all responsibilities for the good of Ikono Ibom Clan.
In his remarks, the President thanked God for keeping the Forum from inception till date without any negative happenings and also specially appreciated God for sparing the life of one of our senior citizens Obonganwan(Pharm) Dorah Ebong from a ghastly motor accident, where she came out unhurt to the glory of God. Mr. Udofia reminded the Exco of where IKIUF came from and her destination. He discouraged everyone from ever thinking that IKIUF can be hijacked by any person(s) for any selfish agenda as that is impossible. Instead, he stressed that Ikono Ibom Unity Forum will continue to partner with other well-meaning individuals, socio-cultural and socio-political groups in Ikono, provided those persons and groups have the interest of development of the Clan at heart.
Mr. Udofia urged all hands to be on deck for the common goal of making Ikono Ibom a better place. The President expressed his faith in the fact that God will continue to bless and protect all Ikono Ibom sons and daughters both at home and in the diaspora, while expressing optimism that infrastructural development will undoubtedly find it's way to Ikono Ibom Clan either voluntarily or involuntarily in no distant time. He promised absolute commitment like never before towards the development of Ikono Ibom Clan in his time as the President.
In their vote of thanks, the Exco members took turns to express their happiness and readiness to work for the progress and positive repositioning of Ikono Ibom Clan.
