LATE ETEBOM SUNDAY REUBEN ESHIET FUNERAL PLANNING COMMITTEE SETS UP SUB COMMITTEES

The Central Planning Committee for the burial of the late Clan head of Ikono Ibom, has set up 6 Sub-Committees.

Chairman of the Central Planning Committee, CPC, Mr Ubong Udofia, while inaugurating the Committees today at Nung Etukho Hall, Ikot Oku Ikono, explained that the decision became necessary in order to effectively plan a befitting burial for the departed Monarch.

Mr Udofia charged members of the Committees to see the assignment as a call to selfless service to the Clan, especially at this critical moment and sued for cooperation from all towards a successful event.

He, however noted that the Sub-Committees could be further enlarged with more members at any point if need be to enable the CPC achieve set goals and announced the Committees' terms of reference to guide their operations.

The Secretary, Uyo Local Government added that proposals by each of the Committees should be ready for presentation at next meeting of the CPC scheduled to take place September 25.

The Six Sub-Committees and their Chairmen are Finance-Obong Ime Ekpo, Venue-Obong Anthony Akpan, Traditional/Chieftaincy Affairs-Eteidung Polycarp Udoudo, Entertainment-Mr Augustine Ben, Security/Protocol-Obong Imo Udom and Media/Publicity/Mobilization-Obong Godwin Eduok.
