UYO HELMSMAN PLAYS HOST TO IKONO IBOM CLAN COUNCIL OF CHIEFS

The Chairman, Uyo Local Government Council, Dr. Uwemedimo Udo, today, September 21, 2021, played host to members of Ikono Ibom Clan Council of Chiefs, who came on a courtesy visit to the council.

The leader of the team and village head of Ikot Ofon Ikono, Eteidung Polycarp Udoudo in his remarks, commended the Chairman for his continued commitment to delivering impactful services to Uyo people and also congratulated him on his recent national recognition as a performing Chairman.

Eteidung Udoudo used the occasion to notify the Chairman of the passing away of the Clan Head of Ikono/Village Head of Ikot Ebo Ikono, Etebom Sunday Reuben Eshiet and solicited support from the Council with the rehabilitation of the Ikot Ebo road, and completion of Ikono Ibom Civic Center. Responding, the Uyo helmsman, commended the village heads for living up to expectations as custodians of the culture and heritage of the people and for also maintaining peace and order in their communities.

He assured them that the Local Government Council will consider their requests while urging them to continue to support His Excellency's completion agenda.

The delegation comprised Eteidung Polycarp Udoudo-Ikot Ofon Ikono, Eteidung Okon Nnana-Ikot Oku Ikono, Eteidung Jolly Francis-Ikot Enyenghe, Eteidung Friday Umoh-Ikot Offiong Ikono, Eteidung Ignatius Ebong-Iton Ikono, Eteidung Michael Ekanem-Ikot Ekpeyak Ikono, Eteidung Edet Udofia-Nung Asang, Eteidung Ikpe Gorerge-Ikot Obio Mkpong, and Eteidung Willie Mbang-Ikot Anyan Ikono.
